JAFFNA, Sri Lanka — A 25-year-old Muslim woman from Eravur who had been living with her husband in Jaffna has been missing since Sunday morning, her family said, appealing to the public for information that could help locate her.
The woman, AWR Kubra, was reported missing on Sept. 13. Her family said she had been experiencing mental-health difficulties and could be particularly vulnerable while alone.
They urged anyone who encounters Kubra to make sure she is safe and immediately contact her family.
“Even the smallest piece of information could greatly help us find her safely,” the family said in an appeal circulated on social media.
Kubra is originally from Eravur in the Batticaloa District and had been residing in Jaffna with her husband.
The family’s notice did not say where in Jaffna she was last seen or describe the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Anyone with information about Kubra’s whereabouts is asked to contact her father at 077 996 1476 or her husband at 070 536 3126.
The information in this report is based on a missing-person appeal issued by Kubra’s family. Jaffna Monitor has not independently established the circumstances of her disappearance.
