SWINDON, England — British police are searching for a 24-year-old Sri Lankan Tamil man who is wanted by authorities and is known to frequent the Swindon area.
Swindon Police identified the man as Sinthujan Balendran and appealed to the public for information that could help officers locate him.
“We would like to hear from anyone with information about Sinthujan Balendran, 24, who is currently wanted by police,” the police said in a public notice. “Sinthujan is known to frequent the Swindon area.”
Police sources said Mr Balendran is wanted in connection with an alleged financial fraud and has failed to appear in court.
Police asked anyone who knows Mr. Balendran’s whereabouts, or has information that could help locate him, to call 101, quoting crime reference number 54260096783.
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, police said.
